A Grade continued their winning streak defeating the Eagles 51-27 to move into fourth spot on the ladder.
A fast past game the third quarter was by far the Lions strongest, as they shot 17 goals while defenders Taryn Kelly and Kim Shalders kept the Eagles to just seven goals.
Taryn Kelly had an exceptional game in defence for the Lions alongside speedy mid-courter Kiara Pitcher. Mid-courter Maureen McGrath had a solid game for the Eagles with teammate Melissa Blackberry also playing well.
In the other A Grade games the Ararat Eagles were defeated by Woorndoo Mortlake FNC 42-50.

Penshurst scored a big win over Caramut 61-25, while Glenthompson Dunkeld scored their own sizeable win over Lismore Derrinallum 63-24.
Meanwhile Moyston Willaura went down to the SMW Rovers 52-30.
The Lions B grade had their first win for the season 40-33. After a close first quarter the Lions came out hard in the second quarter only missing two goals.
The Eagles fought hard in the second half, but the damage was already done with the Lions taking the four points. Mid-courter Abbey Moar and defender Chloe Graham were named best players for the Lions.
Best players for the Eagles were Shacara Byers and Leah Drendel.
C Grade also continued their winning streak defeating the Eagles 36-27.
Even at half-time the Lions lifted in the third quarter with some exceptional shooting from Kim Hay and Kyla Pearse and they managed to take the lead by seven goals.
An injury to goalie Kyla Pearse in the final quarter saw Madison McCartney come back on, and this didn't rattle the team as they increased the final lead by another two goals.

Versatile Kim Hay and defender Rebecca Gilbert were named best players for the Lions.
Goalie Caitlin Edwards and mid-courter Natalie Willsher were named best players for the Eagles.
In the juniors Great Western's 13 and Under had their very first win for the season against another young side in Hawkesdale Macarthur 17-14.
The game was full of excitement and was both team's highest scoring game so far this season.
This year's 13 and Under team for Great Western has a majority of first year players in it, with the ages of the girls varying from 12 to 8 years of age.
Coach Jess Kindred is very happy with how the girls are progressing.
"They are working very hard and improving each week," she said.
The first quarter was very close with three goals apiece, as the ball spent a lot of time going up and back with lots of intercepts.
The second quarter saw an Eagles defence which was too strong, and they went into the half-time break leading the Lions 9-4.
The third quarter was the Lions turn for strong defence and excellent shooting and they worked exceptionally well to narrow the gap, trailing by one goal at three-quarter time.
The young Lions took advantage of the crowd starting to get behind them with more and more intercepts and some beautiful team plays the louder the crowd got.
Amelia Moloney shot outstandingly in the final quarter shooting six of the Lions' seven goals.
Great Western's 15 and Under side continued their winning streak 32-5 over the Eagles, with Saturday's win seeing them remain in third place on the ladder.
