The Rats kicked straight and their 11.4 (70) score line was enough to overcome the wayward Demons who kicked 7.13 (55) on the day.
The performance was a different outcome to the first time the Rats played at their home ground this season.
Rats senior coach Matt Walder was proud of his team and their efforts on the day.
"You probably had half the squad just experience their first senior win, so you can imagine the glee on those starry-eyed boys," he said.
"They were pretty happy to get the first out of the other way and with such a young group, it was a terrific.

"It was a feather in their cap to respond the way they did because you can quite easily fold against a team that's been up there, but they didn't."
Liam Arnott, Brody Griffin and Tom Mills were some of the Rats' best players with Mills bagging three big goals.
The Rats have responded well after a tough Good Friday loss, with a competitive showing against reigning premiers Minyip-Murtoa and this round three win over the Demons.
After grabbing their first win of 2021, Walder said the group have their sights set on continuing their development against Dimboola in round four.
"At the end of the day, we're still a long way off being wholly competitive to the top sides," he said.
OTHER NEWS:
"But we're just happy to keep developing the young boys and just see them grow, whether it be on a weekly basis or on a quarter to quarter basis.
"But I think, you know, we've got our own little benchmarks that we need to hit each game and probably consistency is going to be the key for us.
"It's just continuing to develop and improve and hopefully results come."
It was tougher game the netball court with the Rats' A Grade going down to the Demons.
The contest was close enough at half-time with the Rats trailing by just 11 goals, but the Demons stamped their name on the game to claim a 74-30 win.
The A Grade will be hoping to square the ledger when they face Dimboola in round four.
Dimboola are coming off a win of their own, after defeating Nhill by 19 goals in round three.
