Shane Field had a field day for the Warriors, bagging seven goals in his 200th club game.
Blair Hart, of Stawell's football department, was happy with the result, but acknowledged it came at a cost.
"Unfortunately we copped a couple of injuries, so everything's gone good but a couple of injuries," Hart said.
"One is definitely (serious), one's a hamstring that has been reoccurring and the other two might play next week."
OTHER NEWS:
Although his side managed to kick 18 goals, Hart said their win was built on defence.
"We knew that if we defended early we would hopefully break their backs and we defended well the first quarter and we probably didn't get the ball moving as well as we'd have liked," he said.
"But once we defended in our second quarter, we broke it open a bit more.
"We're reasonably happy with it, we're two and zero which we were hoping we'd be and we'll see how we go next week."
According to Hart the result was a true team effort.
"Everyone played their role," he said.
"Paul Summers played really well, but you know he played fullback all day.
"It's not like he's had 100 kicks playing at full-back when you win by that much, but he played his role and played it really well.
MORE NEWS:
"The usuals played well - your Jackson Darks, your Tom Eckels your Sam Williams."
"The ones that we called up all put their hand up and played really well again."
Next week the Warriors face Warrack who had a convincing loss to the Southern Mallee Giants in their round two clash.
The Giants playing their first game of the season won by a mammoth 151-points.
Brock Orval made a dazzling return for the Giants' kicking seven goals.
Highly-touted recruit Cassidy Parish was also impressive for the Giants' being named their best player.
In the other game reigning-premiers Minyip-Murtoa showed no signs of a premiership hangover beating Ararat by fifty-points.
Ararat picked things up late, winning the fourth-quarter four goals to two, but by then the damage had been done.
For the Burras Lachie Johns was a standout, while Timothy McIntyre and Kieran Delahunty also impressed.
Horsham Saints had yet to play Horsham Demons, at time of publication of this article. The game scheduled for Sunday evening.
