I reckon I'm nearly coming into my 25th year of being on the football club committee. I joined when I was 18.
Q. What different roles have you filled at the club?
For a lot of years, I was just a committee member who would do whatever needed to be done. This year, I'm actually vice president and assistant treasurer. I've also been bar manager for a couple of years.

Q. What do you love most about the club that you support/volunteer for?
I enjoy the social side of it. That's our little outlet on the weekend: to go to the football and socialise with your friends. For us, at the farm, you don't see too many people during the week.
Q. What is your number one highlight in your time supporting/volunteering?
I won four premierships when I was playing. 1995 was the start of a really good run. I played in (premiership-winning side in) 95, 96, 98. The following year we got beaten then we sought of went off the boil a bit for a few years. Then I had a knee injury that I didn't quite come back from and work became a bit more important than football.

Q. Who is the player from your club you've most enjoyed watching?
I think Scott Astbury is one of the better players at our club. I played with him and he was a great footballer, if the ball came near him you knew he was going to mark it.
