The club entered the Deakin University Female Football League for the abandoned 2020 season but is now playing in the South West Conveyancing Senior Women's competition.
South Warrnambool was the dominant side when the teams met on Sunday, April 18. They defeated Ararat 101-7, although the Storm did improve in the second half.

Senior team coach Beck Phillips said she was nevertheless pleased to have the team back on the field after such a long absence.
"It was really good. We got a lot of players back that had previously played with the Storm, and everyone was really thrilled to just be back out on the oval," she said.
"I think it's really got the girls motivated and excited for the rest of the season."
Phillips said she was also encouraged by the support the team received.

"I was quite impressed with how many showed up. It was really good to see a few cars parked around and some locals coming to watch," she said.
"It was really nice to see the community come out and give some support to us."
The club has a two-week break between fixtures due to next Sunday being Anzac Day.
The team will then travel south to face Warrnambool Blues on Sunday, May 2.
