Gatherings of about 60-100 people are common at the service.
It is held at Halls Gap's Memorial Gates and is a community-run event affiliated with the RSL or any other groups.
OTHER SERVICES:
The Shrine of Remembrance service will be broadcasted on the radio while people gather to pay their respects and lay flowers or wreaths.
Families from the Halls Gap Honour Roll have traditionally donated money for three wreaths laid at the service.
With the service being cancelled due to COVID-19 in 2020, the funds usually used for the wreaths (about $150) were instead given to Ararat Legacy.
This year one wreath will be laid with the remaining funds going to the Ararat Legacy.
It will run from 5.45-6am.
