The appeal is an RSL-wide initiative that raises money to support former servicemen, women, and their families.
Ararat RSL appeals co-ordinator Lyn Russell said this support could come in several forms.
"The money can even be used for something like Diggers Lunch on Anzac Day, or it could be if there's some maintenance they need to be done around the house, or if they need financial assistance we can look into that as well," she said.

The appeal runs from April 14-24.
During this time, volunteers sell badges at Ararat Woolworths, IGA, and Bendigo Bank to help raise funds.
Ms Russell said the Ararat community had shown great generosity with past appeals.
"When we did the poppy appeal in November last year we had minimal volunteers due to COVID, and in that week we the Ararat community donated over $6000, which was fantastic," she said.
OTHER NEWS:
Ms Russell said they could be flexible with scheduling to help volunteers.
"It's when people have the time. Even if they can just spare a day or a few hours to help," she said.
"People don't have to be a member of the RSL to help."
People interested in volunteering can phone the Ararat RSL sub-branch on 5352 2794.
