The voice of Australian band, Boom Crash Opera, Dale Ryder, is coming to Pomonal to play some of their biggest hits as part of the Live at Pomonal Estate music festival.

It will be a much needed return to the stage for Ryder who, like many in the entertainment industry, has struggled due to the effects of COVID-19.
"Since COVID has affected the industry, we are all just chomping at the bit to get started, it is not about the money, but I just miss performing in front of people," he said.
"A lot of my friends were living 'hand to mouth' and it was pretty awful for us, especially those six months of lockdown, it was very brutal.

"The best part about being a musician is the performing and if you can't perform then it is a really hard thing and a thing you really miss."
Ryder will be joined by rock artist "Rusty" Brown from Electric Mary and special guest - Grampians performer Dave Nicholson as the artists bring live music back to Pomonal.
"It is all about fun, I will being doing some Boom Crash Opera in an acoustic way which will be a bit different because as a band we are quite loud and bombastic," he said.
"It will be a laidback style and I also get the chance to do some covers so it will be some good fun.

"It (performing) is the lifeblood of the industry and it is not just the musicians, there is all kinds of people involved.
"The entertainment industry feeds a lot of people and when a tour shuts down that takes its toll and so it is just so nice to be back talking about music again.
Ryder will be performing some of Boom Crash Opera's biggest hits like Onion Skin, Great Wall and Hands up in the Air as part of his headline set.
Tickets are now on sale and for the show which will be held from 1pm on Sunday, March 28 at Pomonal Estate.
It is a COVID-safe event, with BYO chairs and rugs recommended.
