Ararat RSL president Frank Neulist said while most of the staples of a regular Anzac Day service would be present, there would be some preventive measures in place.
"It will be under COVID-normal conditions," he said.
"We're encouraging people to social distance. For people that are going to attend, the RSL website will allow them to register on it, or they can come to the RSL and register if they intend to attend the dawn service or the main service."

"We will have our own COVID marshals who will help people with social distancing. Our big audio-visual screen will have messages (about COVID safety), and there will be messages put over the PA system.
"The seating will also be a proper distance apart. So we'll take all the common-sense precautions to make sure people are safe."
Mr Neulist said after the disappointment of 2020, he was pleased the RSL could hold a more extensive service.
"Last year we only had a flag-raising ceremony, then the vice-president laid a wreath, so it was pretty much a non-event," he said.
OTHER NEWS:
"It will be good to get back because there's quite a few of our Diggers that have died in the meantime."
Mr Neulist also announced many of the traditionally featured groups in the service would once more be involved.
"The Ararat Band will be there, the Primary Schools' Choir will be there, our Mauri community will also be participating as per usual," he said.
The morning tea that usually follows the main service is one of the few parts of Ararat RSL's traditional Anzac Day that will not be held.
MORE NEWS:
Similar to the services, most other events on the day will proceed in a slightly altered capacity.
"There'll be the normal Diggers' Lunch that people will need to book in for," Mr Neulist said.
"There will only be parties of two or three; we won't have a whole family group like we used to have.
"We will also be providing a free breakfast but not as people are used to. People will come to the bistro side of the RSL, and we'll provide them a takeaway sandwich or something like that."
Mr Neulist said the concessions being that would be made to ensure people's safety was relatively minor.
"The program is pretty much as it used to be, just with a few odd things thrown in," he said.
