Tension was high in the first quarter as Portland Coasters applied a huge amount of pressure onto the Ararat team.
If he could buy an early basket to sink, Ararat coach Marcus Jenkins would have had the wallet out in no time.
It was a slow start, 15-10 Redbacks way at quarter time.
Redback's Ethan Fiegert found the middle of the ring and didn't look like missing from the three-point line.
Portland managed to shut down Zac Dunmore, which opened up the court for the other players.

Fiegert slammed a long shot three on the half time buzzer to ensure the Redbacks would go into the break well ahead 46-27.
It was a serious third quarter. Tense on the court and in the stands as Portland made their charge.
Despite no change on the scoreboard, you could certainly feel the shift in the stadium. The Redbacks still held a 19 point lead going into the last, 81-60.
Portland pushed the Redbacks in the last but were unable to make any break throughs the strong offence.
