Stawell Golf has moved into the Grampians Bowls Division grand final with a comprehensive win over the minor premiers Aradale at the Ararat VRI green on Saturday.

Golf's Dave Kaczynski rink worked hard for a five shot win over Aradale's dream team skippered by Nugget Oehms.
Greg Reading managed to get up by two shots over Gary Sherwell and Gary Blackman had a good win over one of the newest skippers in Jake Strafehl.
In the elimination final the two teams that played in last years grand final went head to head and with most of their last number of matches being very close a good game was expected.

VRI's Shane Briggs had a slow start, down 4-13 early, but got his team firing to record a seven shot win over Andrew Cray.
Andrew Sharp for Stawell had a good win by 14 shots over Mark Griffits but the story of the day was the demolition job Clayton Holcombe's rink handed out to Grant Seeary's team.
In the end a 24 shot result put the result out of reach for Stawell and moved the VRI side into next weeks preliminary final against Aradale.
In next week's preliminary final at the Stawell Bowling Club both VRI and Aradale look evenly matched.
Both have relied on their top rink winning most weeks and if the draw is completed and Nugget Oehms draws Clayton Holcombe it should be one of the best matches to watch for this year.
Division two
Stawell have moved into the grand final with a nail biting finish against Lake Bolac Black on the carpet green at Ararat.
Stawell's Donnie Austerberry went down to Barry Veale by five shots and Peter Pianta got up by five shots over Kevin Breen.
It all came down to the last rink with Trevor Skurrie playing Jack Veale with the score tied at 21 all it was who won the last end got the free pass into the grand final.
Rob Maconachie got his bowls in the right spot with one on the jack and one near the ditch for Stawell.
Jack Veale with his last bowl with a picturesque delivery rattled into the head and with a calculated rub got the shot bowl he was seeking.

The kitty rolled to the back of the green where Stawell's bowl was and victory was theirs.

In the elimination final it was all one way traffic for Stawell Golf.
Peter Greenberger had a eight shot win over T Cornwell, Ross Dobson and R McLeod had a draw but it was the big win by Ray Scobie over Ray Grimmer by 26 shot that sealed the victory for Golf.
In next weeks preliminary final Golf will come up against Lake Bolac Black at Aradale.
The green at Aradale is one of the fasted and best in the division and a close result is expected.
