STAWELL residents will have the chance to catch a glimpse of the Australian Open tennis trophies on Tuesday, January 19. The trophies are on tour before the 2021 open, which will take place at Melbourne Park from 8 to 21 February 8-21. Vic Tourism will facilitate the stop off at Stawell with undisclosed tennis guests also in attendance. Club president Anna Sullivan said the opportunity for Stawell Tennis Club to host the event was exciting for both the players, supporters but the general public of the town. "I invite all players, past and present, supporters and all members of the community to come down to the courts and have a look at the trophies. "I'm excited to show the visitors what a great town we live in." The trophies will be on display from 1.30-3.30pm.
