"These positions are a unique opportunity for those who have a passion for multiculturalism and a commitment to making a positive difference for all Victorians, I encourage those interested to register today."
The Multicultural Commission consists of 12 commissioners who are appointed by the Governor-in-Council for terms of up to four years.
Victorian Multicultural Commission chairwoman Viv Nguyen said the commission seeks to engage with diverse communities in Victoria to better identify solutions to issues they face.
"Commissioners are a crucial part in maintaining the connection between multicultural communities, the Commission and the government," she said.
"We need committed people who are able to facilitate change and strengthen Victoria's diversity."
The call out comes after the Victorian government announced a $21 million multicultural community infrastructure fund in the 2021 budget.
Under the funding, the Horsham Islamic Welfare Association received $75,876 to upgrade their kitchen, storeroom, wash area, and re-concrete around the building.
