Julie Chick, Brian Kelly, Gary Cunningham, Jess Peters and Kathy Young have all started growing their hair which will be shaved off in March next year to raise funds for the Leukemia Foundation.
Willaura Healthcare support service officer Julie Chick said raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation was a mission close to her heart.
"I was adopted and I got to meet my real mum. She ended up dying from blood cancer when she was 63. It hasn't happened to me yet but it possibly could," she said.
"Brian and Gary from work mentioned they were going to do it. It's for a great cause and it's good comradery when you do it with someone else."

East Grampians Health Service will host several fundraisers over the coming months, including a giant raffle.
"We have organised for Central Salon in Ararat to cut and shave our hair," Mrs Chick said.
"Letters have been sent to the IGA and Woolworths - they are going to do some fundraising for us. I am also going to put something at the local bakery in Willaura."
Each year, 20,000 people face the clippers and bravely shave their hair as part of the World's Greatest Shave, to send a powerful message of hope to the 47 Australians who are diagnosed with blood cancer every single day.
