There are currently eight active cases in regional Victoria.

It comes as health authorities say they have more detail on the movements of a truck driver who sparked outbreaks in Kilmore and Shepparton.

Premier Daniel Andrews said around 400 people were isolating in Shepparton, and more than 1850 people were tested in the city on Wednesday.

"We are very grateful to think at dawn this morning there were already people queuing," Mr Andrews said.

"That says to me as we so often see, country people are very strong communities, common sense communities, they know if they stick together and if they do the right thing."

Victoria reported six new cases and no further deaths today.

The 14-day statewide moving average has decreased to 9.5.

An average of five is needed to move to the next phase of the re-opening plan, though Mr Andrews has hinted some restrictions will be eased on Sunday.

There have been no mystery cases reported in regional Victoria in the past two weeks.
