When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Silence! Be still!" Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, "Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?" The disciples were absolutely terrified. "Who is this man?" they asked each other. "Even the wind and waves obey him!"

Mark 4:39-41 NLT
There is no doubt that we are living in a time of uncertainty. A time of wind and waves.
As human beings, we crave certainty.
We desire to understand what is happening around us but unfortunately, we don't always get this.
That is why we need spiritual peace. In a world where there are so many things happening, there is a peace that surpasses ALL understanding.

True peace doesn't come from seeking peace, going on a retreat, taking time out, finding rest, or getting into nature.
These things are all good and very beneficial, however they only bring a fleeting peace.
True peace comes from seeking God - the one who brings peace.
Accepting God's peace doesn't mean your life will be problem free. It means that even when your world seems to be falling apart, you will be able to think clearly and sleep peacefully.
How do you get God's peace in your life? God's peace is not something you work for or beg for. It's a gift you receive by faith.
Turn to God in prayer. Tell him what's on your mind. Focus on his goodness. And His peace that passes understanding will fill your heart and mind.
I pray that this week you will find peace through seeking God. The one who commands the winds and the waves and they obey.
Be blessed.
