Targeting hot spot areas like Halls Gap and Stawell, officers were making sure no one was breaching the direct orders from the chief health officer.
Sergeant Peter Young said he was "pleased" on the first weekend of the school holidays, no one was found to be in breach of the restrictions set out.
"We were checking vehicles and drivers and trying to prevent anyone trying to break the law from entering Halls Gap and Stawell," he said.
"We've checked lots of people but we haven't found anyone in breach of the chief health officer's directive.
"Most of the people I spoke to on Friday were from other regional areas which were great to see."
