However, due to Stage Three restrictions across regional Victoria, nursing homes and hospitals across the region will not be visited by joyful families.
East Grampians Health Service chief executive Andrew Freeman said this weekend would be difficult for families across the region.
"Stage three COVID-19 restrictions continue to keep many families apart," he said.

"I know how much many of you are missing family and that Father's Day this year might be a little different to normal.
"It will be difficult, but the importance of staying home and not travelling is more vital than ever."
Stage three restrictions are expected to end in mid-September with Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews due to make an announcement about restrictions on Sunday.
