This is the highest daily death toll since the pandmeic began.
The state has recorded 282 new cases of coronavirus over the same timeframe.
Of those deaths, 22 are linked to aged care.
There are 657 Victorians in hospital.
Of the new cases, 148 are deemed 'mystery cases' with an unknown source.
There have been no new cases of coronavirus recorded in Ararat for the past three weeks. There are no active cases in the shire.
At his daily update, Premier Daniel Andrews said there were 436 cases in regional Victoria overall, a drop on the previous day's numbers.
"Come forward and get tested, then wait at home," he said. "Given there is so little flu transmission, if you have symptoms, there is every chance you have got it (coronavirus)."
There are 7474 active cases across Victoria overall, 2009 of these in aged care and 87 in disability settings.

"There should be no sense of complacency," he said.
The government has also announced a $20.41 million investment to support domestic violence services targeting perpetrators.
A spokeswoman said the aim was to put perpetrators into alternative accommodation, to allow victims to remain in their own homes during the pandemic.
She said the programs in this package would aim to involve around 2000 people.
