Two Hungry Jack's restaurants have been closed for deep cleaning in Ballarat after an employee tested positive to COVID-19.

The employee, who worked at the Wendouree store, is self-isolating, and all employees who worked shifts with them have been notified to self-isolate and get tested, according to a media statement.
The Ballarat store in Bakery Hill was also closed as a precaution in line with Victorian Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.
The company was told on Monday about the positive result and closed the stores immediately.
"Employees who are currently in self-isolation will be tested again; they will only be allowed to return to work after testing negative and completing 14 days of self-isolation," a spokesperson said in a statement.
The news follows other Ballarat businesses which have followed the guidelines and temporarily closed for deep cleaning.

Right now there are only four reasons to leave your home in Ballarat during stage three restrictions: care and caregiving, local exercise, shopping for necessary items, and for work or study if you are unable to do so from home.
Victoria Police are enforcing restrictions, and penalties apply.
Anyone with the slightest symptoms is urged to get a test immediately, and must self-isolate until results come back - phone 4311 1571 to make an appointment.

Hungry Jack's can confirm that it has temporarily closed and deep cleaned restaurants in the Ballarat area due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19 on Monday 10 August at its Wendouree restaurant.
The restaurants in Wendouree and Ballarat have been closed as a precaution in line with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) guidelines. The Sebastopol restaurant remains open.
All employees who had worked shifts with the identified worker at Wendouree have been notified to self-isolate and to get tested.

Hungry Jack's continues to maintain strict hygiene through rigorous processes and has in place additional measures in light of the increased risk of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
