Ararat's AME systems won't be impacted by stage three regional Victoria restrictions and stage four Melbourne restrictions.

Managers from one of the largest employers in the Ararat region have been in talks and received confirmation on Tuesday morning their customers and suppliers wouldn't be impacted.
"All our major customers are permitted to continue to work," acting managing director Dean Pinniger said.

"Since March both AME and our customers have had COVID safe plans and protocols required by the government in place.
"Fortunately for our staff at AME Systems everyone is safe to work which is the number one priority and outside of that it's business as usual."
Mr Pinninger said he was pleased the company could continue on particularly as Victoria "not in such a good way".

"It's good news in one way - but we're absolutely on our 'A' game in regards to health and hygiene and all the requirements," he said.
"It's a process of waiting and seeing what the announcements are and dealing with it when it comes in.
"This has been an all year round issue really. There isn't a day that's gone by where some management isn't required around the COVID-19 situation."
