The senior constable has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and six counts of unlawful assault.
The charges follow an investigation into an alleged incident that occurred in December 2019.

The officer was off-duty at the time.
VIctoria Police did not specify where in the western region the police officer works, but the area covers Ararat, the Wimmera, Northern Grampians, Ballarat, Bendigo and much of the western part of the state.
The senior constable will face court next month.
