Barkly Street business Something Beautiful is organising the donation of trophies free of charge.

Owner Debbie O'Brien said she was approached by someone who had the trophies and wanted to "do something with them".

"They were given them to me to donate to junior sporting clubs in the region," she said.

"It will certainly help junior sporting clubs and with their costs for the year."

Mrs O'Brien said business had slowed during the coronavirus pandemic.

"You have your good days and bad," she said.

"I would hate to be paying wages and have the stress of managing staff during this time.

"I've been busy knitting items to sell through the shop on those quieter days."

Mrs O'Brien has been in business for more than seven years.

"Never when I went into business did I imagine I would be going through something like this," she said.

"It's the most difficult thing to go through. It's really thrown a spanner in everyone's work in all businesses."
