Bibby's announcement came a day after coach Vic Schaefer left Mississippi State to become head coach at the University of Texas.
"I want to say a massive thank you the fans for embracing me and making the past three years an incredible experience," Bibby shared on social media.
"I will forever cherish every photo, autograph, conversation and laugh I've had with all of you, and I truly feel blessed to have been a Bulldog.
"To my teammates I will be forever grateful to have played along side you and call you my sisters."
The 21-year-old joined Mississippi State in 2017 and became a vital part of the Bulldogs' firepower from outside the arc, leading the team with 38 three-pointers last season.
Bibby started 31 of 33 games in the 2019-20 season, averaging 7.5 points and 5.2 points.
Mississippi State was 27-6 and second in the Southeastern Conference, before the coronavirus outbreak brought the season to a premature end.
