The top hoop pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding from her win with Mark Pegus' Costa Maya in race three of the Stawell Cup program.
Meech will miss 14 races from April 12 to April 23.
Stewards said in approaching the 300m Meech allowed her mount to shift out when insufficiently clear of Romantic Voyage, which clipped heels, blundered and almost dislodged its rider Neil Farley.
The carelessness was deemed to be in the "high range".
Stewards took into account Meech's "exceptional record" and guilty plea when handing down the suspension.
Costa Maya's win was the first professional victory for Stawell trainer Mark Pegus. Pegus and Meech later combined for victory in the Stuart McGregor Stawell Gold Cup with Sentimentalist.
