A few hundred dollars worth of gym and sporting equipment has been stolen, following a burglary at Ararat's Alexandra Oval.

Detective Senior Constable Caroline Blackley, of Ararat's Criminal Investigation Unit, said the door to a football club that uses the venue was forced open between 8.30pm on Thursday and 1am on Friday.
"We haven't been able to identify any suspects at this stage, and we are looking for any footage of the area," she said.
Ararat's CIU is also continuing investigations into a burglary in the town on the night of March 10.
Detective Senior Constable Blackly said $2500 worth of furniture and household items were stolen from an unoccupied house on Stevens Crescent.
"It happened between 8pm and 10am the following morning," she said.
"The house was not occupied at the time, and there are no suspects at this stage."
