The bench is situated near the fountain and glasshouse, and was donated by AME Systems in memory of several local families.
Network organiser Linda Nyikos conversation bench is a place "where people will be able to come and be able to talk when they are feeling vulnerable".
"If you see them sitting on the bench, just come and ask them 'are you okay?'," she said.
"It is a beautiful spot overlooking the lake."
Community members also took a walk around the lake in quiet reflection of those who have lost their lives to suicide, and Wesley Mission chief executive and superintendent Reverend Keith Garner spoke to the crowd about the importance of supporting one another and removing the stigma around suicide.
The group also conducted a sunflower ceremony by the lake.
