The free mental health and well being event sold out in a matter of weeks and was held on February 24, with almost 500 people attending.
The community session was followed by presentations to participating primary and secondary schools.
Teachers and representatives from local businesses, sporting clubs and community groups also took part in a session.
Resilient Ararat is a localised extended program that will expand on the same themes as the Resilience Project.
Youth project officer Jane Moriarty said Resilient Ararat members had already begun locking in more events, which included a resilience round with the Mininera Football Netball Club, a theatre performance with mental health themes, and a number of workshops and presentations.
Project facilitators are also looking to the community for further ideas, and encouraged people to email them at resilience@cgllen.org.au.
Resilient Ararat has also opened up a survey available until March 18 which community members can use to provide feedback.
"That will be reviewed to make sure that whatever we're planning aligns with what the community is expecting," Ms Moriarty said.
The project will also bring school students into the planning process.
"We're planning to have a young leaders workshop where each school sends a couple of students," Ms Moriarty said.
"It will be facilitated by student leaders from Ararat College, who will help get the ideas of students across so they can have a voice in what happens going forward in the project."
Ararat College acting principal and Resilient Ararat member, Ellie McDougall said so far feedback about the Resilience Project had been extremely positive.
"We've had lots of positive feedback from the night and people seemed to really embrace The Resilience Project's messages around gratitude, empathy and mindfulness," she said.
"This is something that a group of our local schools have been trying to bring to Ararat for a long time. To see such a wide cross-section of the community come out and support it was absolutely fantastic."
