Tiwi Islanders Harley Puruntatameri and Kurt Dunn will join the Lions as interstate recruits.
Both players were listed with the Tiwi Bombers in the 2019-20 season of Northern Territory football.
"They are both highly talented and fast players," senior assistant coach Matthew Delzotto said.
"Kurt is a bit more of a mid-field, in and under type player, so he is a little bit different to the players we've previously had from the Northern Territory.
"He will really compliment our mid-field well and we're really excited to have him come down."
Delzotto said Puruntatameri will play in a mid-field to half-forward role for the Lions.
"He has amazing leg-speed, kicks goals and runs hard," he said.
"We're really pumped to get both players here."
In previous years the Lions have recruited more than two players. Delzotto said the number kept to two for the 2020 season to reduce the cost for the club.
"Everything counts towards your salary cap so we're just making sure we have our budget right," he said.
"It's a big job to manage the players while they are here as well, in terms of housing them and looking after their welfare.
"They are a long way from home. The more players we have here the more input and effort is needed from the volunteers around the club and community.
"We don't want to wear out our volunteers who do a terrific job helping to manage the Tiwi Island recruits.
"We feel two this year is really suitable and we've got two really talented players to compliment our side."
Tiwi Islander Steven Lorenzo joined the Lions in 2018 and also played in the premiership in 2019.
"Stevie won't be returning this year and he is going to become a Dad," Delzotto said.
"He's going to stay up on the Islands as he starts his family - we're all really excited for him.
"The players become a big part of the club while they are here and it's difficult to not have them returning after such an amazing few years."
Delzotto said the club was looking into hosting another Indigenous game during the season with a date not yet set.
