TINY trains drew a big crowd to Ararat at the weekend when the Grampians Model Railroaders Inc held its third annual Ararat Model Train Show.

Life member and club co-founder David Burkhill said the weekend was a success for the club.
"Numbers have been very good and we're very happy," he said.
"It's a good hobby and you meet some terrific people - you become like a big family."
Mr Burkhill said he spent over two years on his own model train scene, which he said replicated a real place in England, where his passion for trains was born.
"I have a railway background and started on the railways in England before we came to Australia," he said.
