A NHILL man has been charged with theft after police recovered more than 150 allegedly stolen garden ornaments from across the Wimmera.

More than 150 garden statues, gnomes, and assorted garden ornaments were located at the address.
A 44-year-old Nhill man was arrested. He will be bailed to appear at the Horsham Magistrates' Court at a later date.
In a statement, police said they were yet to identify owners for some of the ornaments and encouraged people who believed they had items stolen to contact police.
