Yore's artist talk is taking place as part of his solo exhibition Let The World Burn, which is showing at the gallery until March 1.
Through the uncomfortable intermingling of images, words, ideologies and materials, Let The World Burn questions the cultural codes that govern our bodies and behaviour, and examines the role of art within society.
During his talk, Yore will take participants through the work on show, explaining the methodologies and materials used as well as the concepts and stories behind the pieces. We hope you can join us tomorrow for what is sure to be a very interesting artist talk.
Date: Saturday, February 8
Time: 2-3pm. Cost: free
NGV KIDS ON TOUR
This year's theme for Kids on Tour is make art, make friends.
The NGV Kids on Tour has been extended until Sunday, February 16.
The popular NGV Kids on Tour program has been at the Ararat Gallery TAMA since early January, with the largest ever free program of art-driven activities for children and families.
Children and their families are welcome to drop in any time during the gallery's opening hours (10am to 4pm, seven days a week), and spend time at the making station in the foyer.
This year's theme for Kids on Tour is "make art, make friends" and encourages children and families to unleash their creativity and take inspiration from the 2019 NGV exhibitions, including Alexander Calder and Kaws.
NGV Kids on Tour is generously supported by The Truby and Florence Williams Charitable Trust managed by Equity Trustees and Official Supplier, Canson Australia.
