All lanes have been reopened to traffic after a tow truck removed the trailer of a B-Double truck that had come detached following a crash about 3pm Friday afternoon.
The building that was hit by the truck remains cordoned off to the public over structural safety concerns.
Update, 4pm:
Lanes on Vincent and Barkly Streets remain closed while emergency services wait for a tow truck to remove the back trailer of a B-Double following a crash.
The trailer came detached from the truck 3pm Friday afternoon when the driver tried to turn left into Vincent Street from Barkly, Acting Sergeant Brett McConachy said.
"It's a sharp turn and he's got two trailers on (his truck)," he said.
"The second trailer has come in and collected the building and traffic lights.
"He's kept going, burst his hoses, he lost his air and he's truck has skidded down the road until he's stopped about 30 metres from his back trailer."
No other vehicles were involved and no injuries occurred as a result of the incident.
The shop buildings will now need to be assessed for structural damage.
"A tow truck will turn up and pull the trailer out, we'll then clear that and and we'll be able to look at the structure and how bad the damage is," Acting Sergeant McConachy said.
"It's pretty badly damaged and that roof could fall down so that has to be assessed."
The roads will remain closed off until the tow truck has removed the trailer.
VicRoads has been notified of the incident.
