The Country Fire Authority said crews were still patrolling the fire.
Update 10.50am, Friday: A smoke advice message remains in place for towns near Mount Ararat, while a fire previously burning at Stuart Mill has been marked as safe.
Country Fire Authority District 16 operations officer Neville Collins said the bushfire at Rocky Point was still causing smoke.
"It's all under control but is just putting a bit of smoke up," he said.
The smoke advice warning was in place for Cathcart, Denicull Creek, Maroona, Moyston, Rocky Point.
Mr Collins said there was also some smoke around from a fire in Brewster.
Earlier: Firefighters are responding to a small bushfire at Spring Valley Road in Stuart Mill.
The fire west of Tarpaulin Creek and east of Kara Kara National Park has been burning for a few days.
Two vehicles were still on the scene working to control the fire at 7pm.
