Stawell Regional Health is blessed with many individuals and groups who raise money for the organisation.
One of those is Jan West, a long-serving a member of YZetts which raises funds for Stawell Hospital Auxiliary.
When asked how long she had been involved, Jan started counting off her children's birthdays.
'I cooked cakes to sell at the cake stall when my daughter was eight months old and she is now 44, so well over 40 years," Jan said.
'I was a nurse at Stawell Hospital and I care very much about the community and that we all have access to the equipment that can be purchased with funds raised. Big pieces of equipment, and smaller things as well.
'I feel honoured to have been involved with something so important and so much fun. The friendships that I have gained, the opportunity to socialise and to meet community members who I probably would not otherwise have met and most of all, the good feeling from raising money to make sure that our hospital and health services can continue to provide great services."
