Isabella Simmons has been named in the 2020 AFL Women's Academy squad.
It's the second time the former Ararat Storm player named, 2019 was her debut in the squad as a level one player.
Simmons 2020 selection names her alongside 34 other players eligible to be selected in the 2020 AFLW Draft.
"With the introduction of four new AFLW teams in 2020, the demand for young talent is higher than ever," AFL national female talent manager Sophia Samartzis said.
Simmons said despite being a member of the squad in 2019, it was still a "thrill" when she learnt of her selection.
"I'm pretty proud and feel very privileged to be part of it," she said.
"It's a great opportunity to develop skills on and off the ground.
"The whole experience of new people and the staff was incredible this year and I'm excited to do it again next season."
A group of selectors handpick the players for AFLW Academy.
Members have access to expert coaches, sports science and sports medicine staff, undertake training sessions with AFLW clubs across December 2019 and January 2020 and attend high-performance training camps in January, April and August of next year.
"We had a number guest speakers talk to us as a group last year which was pretty memorable," Simmons said.
"AFLW players came in and spoke to us about how to juggle life with work and football.
"We did a lot of team bonding and building friendships. Some of these girls I will play with or alongside during my football career so I felt it was a great opportunity to start building those relationships."
Simmons is joined by her Greater Western Victorian Rebels teammates.
Renee Saultis and Maggie Caris were named in the level two squad while Nyakoat Dojiok and Ella Friend in level one.
"I start back training at Greater Western Victorian Rebels this week," Simmons said.
"We have four training sessions in the lead up to Christmas.
"I'm excited to get back to playing football. I really miss it. I've been playing football at school but it isn't the same.
"I'm excited to be back out there with the girls again and playing competitively."
