There are 64 fires burning across NSW, of which 40 are not yet contained. The NSW Rural Fire Service expects weather conditions to worsen on Tuesday.
District 16 commander Neville Collins said his district put in a combined strike team with District 15.
"We've committed two trucks, one from Ararat and one from Avoca, and they will be manned by volunteers from Stawell, Ararat, Beaufort and Skipton," he said.
"They will be joining up with three trucks from District 15, and tonight they will camp at Goulburn and join up with four other strike teams to form a task force."
Mr Collins said it was yet to be decided which fires the volunteers would fight.
"The volunteers will work three days of twelve-hour shifts and probably travel home Friday," he said.
"I have another strike team of District 15 and 16 volunteers going up on Wednesday, and they will be flying up and crewing NSW fire trucks."

Mr Collins said volunteers regularly "inundated" the district with requests to participate when large fires flared up interstate.
"Unfortunately we have to knock some people back," he said.
District 17 operations officer Alfred Mason said the district sent out expressions of interest for volunteers on Sunday.
"We aren't going to send trucks, just crew," he said.
"We had people apply and we made them available, but the strike team was completed by Districts 15 and 16. We've supplied the list again in case members who expressed interest could go on the Wednesday.
"If there are no new fires, the team that went on Monday will return home on Wednesday, so they're just on standby for the weather change being predicted. I probably won't know until Tuesday if they're taking any of our members."
Mr Mason said the CFA paid volunteers' travel, accommodation and food costs while they were deployed.
"These are members who leave work and their farms, they give up their time freely and they want to help the community," he said.
