Moyston's Karen Howard can be spotted travelling around the town with her horse Sarina and dog Kizmet enjoying the country lifestyle.
Sarina is a 17-year-old Australian Pony and has been in Mrs Howard's care since she was 11-months-old.
Mrs Howard moved to the region seven years ago to be close to family.
"I love Moyston, it's a great town," she said.
"I try and get out and ride as much as I can. I also have Sarina's foal which is now five years old and I am breaking in to saddle, so I try to swap between the two of them if I can.
"I enjoy riding around on the jinker. It's quiet and I can spend time with my horse and can take my dog with me."
Mrs Horward said ponies could live up to 35 years, so owning one was a big commitment.
"I helped a gentleman many years ago who had standardbreds - pacers and trotters," she said.
"It's how I got into the idea of having a horse in a harness.
"When we got Sarina she didn't grow as tall as we hoped, but my daughters kept growing.
"They outgrew her so we decided the only other thing to do to keep her was to put her in harness."
Mrs Howard said tourists occasionally stopped to take photos and have a look - which she welcomed.
