Greg Reading and Brian Adamson both had big wins and David Kaczynski held off Jessie Austin to give the home side all the points.
Ararat were hopeful of getting some points against the visiting Stawell team but went down on all three rinks.
Adrian Troeth after winning the 60 and over State singles this week had the biggest win by 20 shots, while Grant Seeary and Andrew Sharp won the other two rinks.
Lake Bolac were competitive in all three rinks against Ararat V.R.I but failed to get any points on the three rinks.
Stan Meale was the biggest winner for the day up by 9 shots. The win has V.R.I on top of the ladder without dropping a rink so far this season.
Aradale went out to Landsborough to play and were predicted to have a comfortable win but someone forgot to mention it to the Landsborough boys.
In a massive upset Landsborough defeated Aradale by just three shots.
The three rinks were all close but it was Wil Hodgetts with a nine shot win that got the home team the points.
This has sent a warning out to the other clubs that the Landsborough side is very competitive this year.
The ladder sees V.R,I and Stawell undefeated on top with Golf hot on their heals, Ararat holds onto fourth and in a surprise Landsborough sits just one point outside the top four. Lake Bolac, Aradale and Chalambar are yet to have a win this year.
Division 2
Ararat V.R.I are playing their home games at Ararat until they get their new green installed and played Lake Bolac on the old green, which suited the visiting Bolac side very well.
Barry Veale and Kevin Liston both had great wins and David Coone get some points for V.R.I
Stawell Blue welcomed home town rivals Stawell Golf Blue and it was the visitors who got the points for the day. Trevor Skurrie got home by five shots but Ash Howard and Les Montgomery were too strong on the other two rinks.
Ararat Green after a good win last week played the other Ararat side, Gold. The Gold side were on top on all three rinks and opened their account with all the points. Greg Day, Laurie Tonkin and Ambrose Joyce all had close wins.
Lake Bolac Red looked to have done enough, winning two rinks by 17 shots but an all-girl team skippered by Angela Hodgetts had a 20 shot win to get Stawell Gold home by three shots.
Aradale were close but not close enough again. Little Mikey Burrett and Ian MacLean both had good wins for Stawell Golf Gold with Max Cronin getting some points for the home side.
The ladder sees the two Stawell Golf and Stawell teams making up most of the top five positions with Lake Bolac Black right in the middle in third position.
Ararat Green and Gold are just outside the four and Aradale, Lake Bolac Red and V.R.I are yet to get a win on the board.
