ARARAT City Tennis Club is gearing up for its summer of tennis with some big news for members and the wider Ararat Community.
The club committee has received quotes to install lighting on the two remaining courts, meaning that all eight courts will be playable at night.
The $70,000 project will be funded by the club with grant assistance already provided from Ararat Community Enterprise and the Ararat Wind Farm.

A club promotion will see free access to the tennis courts from Sunday September 29 to Sunday October 6, using the club's Book a Court program.
Courts can be booked by going to the club's Facebook page or web page.
The booking program is new to Ararat and the promotion is aimed at encouraging anyone interested in having a hit to discover the booking program.
This is a great activity for children during the school holidays.
The free tennis times will also suit adults who can book a court any time after work or during the weekend.
Tennis balls will be provided free of charge and a free sausage sizzle will take place at 12 noon on Friday October 4.
