STAWELL Regional Health has three new Vital Signs Monitors, thanks to the generosity of the Stawell Y-Zetts.
The Y-Zetts fully funded the monitors, worth $7960 combined, and will be used by nursing staff in the Simpson Ward, Theatre and Macpherson Smith Residential Care.
"This is a great way to support our nurses and our community, the more access we have to equipment, the more effective and responsive our nurses can be," acting chief executive Kate Pryde said.
"We are very appreciative of what the Y-Zetts do for us."
Y-Zetts president Meg Blake said fundraising for the health service and the community was "hard work but we love to do it."
"We try to make our activities fun for the fundraisers and for the people making donations," she said.
"It is very rewarding because we see such positive outcomes for the hospital and for the community."
The volunteer group is already planning its next fundraising activity too.
"Our next fundraising effort, the annual Shopping Spree, will be on November 8 from 6pm and guarantees fun for all involved," Ms Blake said.
"It is, a win-win not just for the hospital which will benefit from the funds raised, but for local businesses who get a substantial boost in sales and local shoppers who can access tremendous bargains."
Last year's spree resulted in close to $250,000 being spent locally during the lead up and night of the Shopping Spree, and it raised $6,200 for Stawell Regional Health.

Ms Blake said they are currently taking expressions of interest from businesses, as well as individuals who would like to lead a team of shoppers on the evening.
"Businesses who would like more information should contact Lyn Bibby on 0419910521 and anyone who would like to be a team leader should contact me on 0417581421," she said.
