For the first time in living memory a team in the Ararat Wednesday Night Tennis Competition has gone through the whole season undefeated. Blizzard's Andy Tucker, Matt Peel, Mel Roberts and Bruce Ahchow combined brilliantly to finish clearly on top of the ladder.
In second place was the AME team of Michael Hope, Nick Oliver, Tahni Skewes and Kim Hartwich. Carey covers finished a close third.
In the final round GME defeated Intersport with Marcus Matthews outlasting son Josh. It was great to see Wayne Gason back on court after a long break.
SHS Civil defeated Carey Covers. Father and daughter Wayne and Grace Lording had a close battle with Grace narrowly taking the honours. Shannon McGrath and Michael
Hope exchanged powerful drives but Michael's team; AME won a close contest over Marx Recycling. Tyrepower was too good for J Ward.
The summer season starts on October 9.
