The two sides clashed at Stawell in a heated battle which saw the Demons take the lead early on and stay in front.

The final score was Demons 60 to Burras 30.

At half time the score was 37 goals Horsham to 15 Burras, and Demons coach Amanda Worthy said she was "relieved" to have got up.

"We're very happy, very excited, and relieved as well," she said.

"We came out absolutely firing, which was what we wanted, and what we asked the girls to do and basically, they did everything we asked them in the first and that set us up for the rest of the match.

"It's fantastic and we're very pleased to be playing off in the grand final, but of course the job's not done yet. Now it's pretty much business as usual. We won't change too much, we'll just keeping doing what we're doing with our training and stuff."

Meanwhile, the Burras will go on to contest the remaining spot in the grand final next weekend.

Coach Billie Bibby said the side knew where they went wrong.

"Unfortunately it wasn't our day to day," she said.

"Like Ararat with our last home and away we know what we did wrong and we know what we've got to do to improve to be able to get the win, so now we'll take this and just focus on next week."
