A Ferrari-driving kickboxer jailed for causing the death of an elderly woman in a high-speed Melbourne crash will be returned to the community despite the cancellation of his parole after a series of attempts on his life.

Suleiman "Sam" Abdulrahim took Victoria's adult parole board to the Supreme Court following a decision to re-jail him in June, more than three months after his early release.
The board had argued Abdulrahim had been the intended target of two shootings and a firearm incident since March and his being on parole posed a public safety risk.
But Justice Paul Coghlan on Friday quashed the revocation and ordered his release.
It comes after the board's lawyers revealed Abdulrahim's neighbour's house was shot up in March, his sister was threatened with a gun the following month and his cousin's house was shot at in June.
No one was injured in the incidents but barrister Liam Brown said Abdulrahim had been the intended target each time and his freedom put the community at risk.
During a hearing last week, Justice Coghlan said he struggled with the decision to put Abdulrahim back behind bars, adding most people would likely find this unfair.
"This is unusual ... there would be very few cases where the position of the (parole) board is 'we accept he hasn't done anything'," the judge said at the time.
Abdulrahim was last July sentenced for causing the death of 88-year-old Muriel Hulett, while speeding through Reservoir in his silver two-door Ferrari Spider in 2015.
He was driving up to 110 km/h in a 60km/h zone when he lost control and crashed into three cars.
Ms Hulett's daughter was also seriously injured in the crash.
Abdulrahim has been a boxer and martial artist since age 15 and fought professionally for a number of years but his commercial sponsors severed ties after the crash.
He was jailed for three years and three months with a two-year non-parole period after pleading guilty to a string of charges including culpable driving causing death.
But with 519 days' pre-sentence detention, Abdulrahim was released on from jail in March this year.
While on parole, he was reportedly romantically linked with Married At First Sight star Jessika Power.
Abdulrahim's barrister, Jo Swiney, earlier told the court her client had done nothing but assist the parole board and the decision to put him back in jail was unreasonable.
