The man, who has been charged with assisting an offender, came before Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where prosecutors did not oppose his release from custody.

Magistrate Greg Fisher ordered a home detention report. The man will reappear before the court next week.

Five men with links to the Hells Angels bikie gang have been charged with the murder of Mr De Ieso, who was gunned down at his Adelaide workshop.

A woman has also been charged with assisting an offender.

All seven of the accused have had their identities concealed until at least their next court appearance in September.

Mr De Ieso's killing is alleged to have been sparked by a protracted feud between the Hells Angels and the Finks gangs.

But police said the 33-year-old had no links to either gang and was an "innocent bystander".

In 2013, they released CCTV video of nine men, including six armed with guns, marching into his workshop before shots are fired. The men then ran from the scene.

Detective Inspector Billy Thompson said the arrests and court appearances for the accused were "just the start of things".

"We're still working hard. We've got a lot of work to do, so if people in the community do have information we appeal to them to keep contacting us," he said.

Mr De Ieso's family has also urged anyone with information to come forward.

"It's always with us. It never goes away and I don't know why we have to go through this," his mother Giovanna said.

She said her son loved to fish and was a keen athlete in his younger years.

He finished school early to pursue his passion for cars by working as a panel beater.
