A massive second quarter effort, scoring 17 goals to seven, gave the team the boost it needed to get over the line by 16 points.
The first quarter was tight, with Stawell only bagging one more goal than the travelling Roos.
"We probably started a little bit slow - there were a couple of turn overs at the start which puts you behind the eight ball a little bit, but to their credit they just kept plugging away," Warriors' co-coach Tracey Dark said.
It was the Warrior's Ebony Summers who bagged the extra goal in the first, and kept the side on the front foot. Dark said Summers' versatility kept her game strong.
"The goal attack changed three times but Ebony Summers just adjusted her game to the way they play," she said.
By half time the Warriors had established a clear lead, at 30 goals to the Roos' 19.
Jemma Clarkson weighed in to achieve that number, shooting eight goals for the quarter.
A re-invigorated Warriors side continued to push their advantage in the second half of the game.
"The defensive end really played as a unit," Dark said.
"They've been really starting to come together and they played off each other really well. Everyone down the court was so impressed and proud of how they had each other's backs the whole game."
Best on went to Ebony Summers and Jade Cross, and the Roos' went to Ruby Redford.
"The way they worked really hard - it's starting to prove what we've been telling them all year," Dark said.
