A Victoria Police spokesman confirmed a 33-year-old Braybrook man has been charged with theft, stalking and other offences.
The offender was bailed to appear in Ararat Magistrates' Court on September 20.
Earlier - Thursday 4pm
ONE of the activists camped along the proposed Western Highway duplication project has been arrested.
The man was arrested on Thursday about 3.30pm at the campsite along the Western Highway at Buangor.
The Ararat Advertiser understands police are investigating allegations of theft.
Ararat police confirmed the man is being interviewed at the Ararat Police Station.
No charges have been laid at this point.
Police visited the campsite, which the man has been camped at for more than a year, earlier this afternoon.
