Thank you to all the ADJFA players for a fantastic 2019 season. You should all be very proud of your efforts. You have played with great spirit, encouraged and helped each other in a fair and inclusive way. If we measure success by how much enjoyment you have on the field, I am confident it has been a very successful season.

Congratulations to the Warriors and Mounties for making it to grand final. To your coaches, Mick Jennings and Mark Dadswell, congratulations as well and thank you for guiding and mentoring your teams to strong performances. All the best to both teams.

Our season would not be possible without the contribution of so many volunteers. Each week cannot happen without the involvement of parents and friends both in barracking and more importantly fulfilling jobs and tasks when required. Thank you.

Thanks to our umpires. Much of the umpiring has been conducted by players from the Ararat Football Club. Young fellas taking time out of their Sunday morning to make sure we can run our games. Special mention as well to Adrian Pieters who has been umpiring ADJFA games for 24 years. This will be Adrian's 14th grand final, thanks so much for your continued service.

Lastly, I would like to thank my fellow committee members Jack Sladdin, Claire Sladdin and Andrea Summers.

Thrust in to our roles we definitely learn on the run. We remained well supported by the former committee. With many decisions needing to be made, I am pleased with how we worked together with the team managers and coaches. Again, I use the measure of success being the level of enjoyment of the players and to that end I am very proud of what has been achieved.

Apologies to anyone I have failed to mention specifically with my acknowledgements over the past few weeks. Everyone who waved a flag in the goals, helped tie a shoelace, served a pie, swept out the rooms and all the other jobs, thank you.

In taking on the president role, I committed to 2020 and am already thinking about how the ADJFA can be stronger next year.
