AN ARARAT man due to appear at the Ballarat Magistrate's Court on Friday will not be heard until the end of the month.
The matter was stood down Friday and he will now appear before the court on August 29, also in Ballarat.
Earlier:
POLICE have arrested a 42-year-old man in Ararat Thursday night after investigating a report of threats to kill.
In a statement issued, Victoria Police said the man was arrested on Barkly Street about 5pm after allegedly making the threats earlier in the day.
He was interviewed by police and further investigation led to officers executing a warrant at an address in Duncan Street, Murtoa last night.
During the search police allege they found a clandestine lab and a firearm.
The man was interviewed and charged with drugs, firearms and violence offences and has been remanded to appear at Ballarat Magistrates' Court on Friday.
