Trailing by 20 points in the fourth quarter, the Youth Miners staged an amazing run which allowed Dunmore to tie the game with a buzzer-beating three-pointer. Dunmore heaped praise on his teammates for their resiliency.
Watch Dunmore speak about the victory:
"The boys never gave up hope so I guess the comeback was pretty surreal," he said.
"I think it was just the fact that we didn't want it to be our last game... the pressure probably pushed us over the edge a little bit which led to a couple of steals and a couple of clutch buckets."
With the stands nearly full for the Miners NBL1 qualifying final, Dunmore said he'll never forget the roar of the crowd when he sent the game to overtime.
"Obviously we were playing in front of a bigger crowd than usual so it was definitely a crazy moment."
Asked if there was any doubt the Youth Miners would come away with the win after his heroics to close regulation, Dunmore gave a fitting answer.
"Not in overtime," he said as a smile crept across his face.
"Definitely during the game there was a bit of doubt here and there but in overtime we had full belief we could get over the line."
The Youth Miners will head on the road to face the Geelong Supercats in a best-of-three grand final series. Geelong will host the first game with the Miners hosting the second and third games (if necessary).
